USED HALDANE UPRIGHT DOUBLE DRIVE SPINNING WHEEL - Ł100

Haldane upright double drive wheel in excellent condition and comes with a lazy kate and 2 spare bobbins
It is very solid and reliable, I would prefer buyer to collect as in my experience wheels to not like to be packed in boxes and do not travel well although if someone really wanted me to post I can get a quote from the post office, the advantage of collection means I can give a demonstration on how to use the wheel. FLEECES WEIGH 1.5 TO 2kg each.

FLEECES ARE IN THEIR RAW STATE, AS REMOVED FROM THE SHEEP AND ARE NOT WASHED. THEY DO HAVE A BIT OF VEGETATIVE MATTER ON THEM.

STAPLE LENGTH IS 6 TO 21cm , BLACK FLEECES TEND TO HAVE A LONGER STAPLE, OUR BROWN SHEEP HAS SLIGHTLY CURLY WOOL.

OUR BLACK HEBRIDEAN SHEEP ARE PETS AND COMPANIONS FOR OUR HORSES.

THEY ARE RAISED NATURALLY ON OUR SMALLHOLDING, ARE NOT EXPOSED TO FERTILIZERS AND ARE NOT DIPPED, ALTHOUGH WE SPRAY THEM ABOUT 3 TIMES A YEAR WITH "CROVECT".

LANDSCAPE FABRIC DYES - VARIOUS COLOURS

I have a few 100gm pots of these lovely easy to use fabric dyes. Colours available are bright yellow (broome), moss green, black (currawong), red ochre, sky blue, (bloodwood) brown, bright pink (galah) and an orangey red (kangaroo paw) - names of the colours are in brackets if they don't match the descriptions - you can find the shade card and more information about these dyes on the webpage below:

The pots are resealable and so you can use as much or as little as you need - a whole pot dyes about 1 kg of fabric or fibre, but as ever, shades and quantities are variable depending on what you are dyeing, and the strength of the dye you choose to use - colours can also be mixed to create your own shades. Dyeing can be done on the stove, or small amounts of fibres can be dyed in the microwave. Suitable for all wools, cottons, silks etc whether unspun or spun or woven - you can also 'rainbow dye' various lengths in different colours. Full instructions included with every pot.

HOW TO PLACE AN ADVERT

NB: ANY LISTINGS SENT IN DURING OCTOBER 2008 WILL BE FREE OF CHARGE SO PLEASE SEND ME YOUR ADVERTS NOW!!

There is no set price for the adverts - but I will be making a small charge in the form of paid order for any of the greetings cards or postcards on this site. The price for a postcard is £1.25, including postage, and so this can be a very low cost method of selling your wares, whilst buying mine in exchange for the service! However, if you don't want to bother searching thro the ranges to find a card you want - just click on ANY card and put in a 'dummy' order - paying whatever you want to pay, and put a note in the text box saying you do not want the card!

Please put in an order normally for the cards you choose from any of the 4 ranges, and add the listing text in the extra information box on the order page.

The advert will appear on the site within 3 days of receipt of payment - which can be made securely through PAYPAL at the time of ordering, or by posting me a cheque, postal order, or even cash if you prefer, to: www.julz.org, 85 cyfyng road, ystalyfera, swansea sa9 2bt. Cheques should be made out to Julie Barnett.

Your cards will be sent within 3 days of receipt of payment.

Please make sure to include full details of the individual items you are selling (text can be any reasonable length), the price, your location, telephone number & email address in the advert text. You may also add a small .jpg picture of the item by

emailing me at spinners&weaversmart@julz.org, or julz@madasafish.com with the details above, so that I can match the picture with the advert text!

You may list as many items as you like, but each listing should be separate adverts. Adverts may remain up on site for 3 months after which you should renew the advert & payment. Wanted ads will be treated in the same way as items for sale. PLEASE DO LET ME KNOW IF YOU HAVE SOLD THE ITEM, SO THAT I CAN DELETE THE LISTING, AS ITS VERY ANNOYING FOR BUYERS TO HAVE TO WASTE TIME CONTACTING YOU ONLY TO FIND THE ITEM IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE!
